In my role at Franco, I oversee and serve as counsel for client programs, lead the agency’s marketing efforts, manage and guide the professional development of several Franco team members, support recruiting and new business and serve on the executive leadership team to guide the future of the agency.
In 2020, I received the PESO Model Certification from Spin Sucks and the S.I. Newhouse School for Public Communications at Syracuse University. The work that went into achieving this certification further developed my expertise in integrated communications.
My career has truly come full circle because I started at Franco in January 2007 right after graduating college. I focused more on “traditional” PR and media relations, but also experimented with social media for clients. In the 2007-2010 timeframe, social media was still a very new concept for businesses!
Prior to rejoining Franco in September 2019, I was the communications director at White Glove, where I handled all internal and external communications efforts on behalf of the company. I also spent 7.5 years at Identity. I started in a social media strategist role and worked my way up to the social media director role.
Since 2012, I have published a bi-weekly e-newsletter called The MichComms Report that includes job openings, events, a featured job seeker or rockstar and relevant articles/blog posts for communications and marketing professionals.
I am a board member and serve on the executive communications committee for Impact100 Oakland County, where I handle member communications.
I’ve served on other boards and helped organize/promote a variety of events and conferences throughout metro Detroit. I regularly speak about social media and PR at conferences and events.
My and my team's work on behalf of clients has received numerous industry awards. I received a 2023 Crain's Detroit Notable Leaders in Marketing Award and a DBusiness 30 in Their Thirties award in 2024.
